I think about boats sometimes reflecting, representing people, people that have left our lives. And there's just something about being on a boat.

All the communication skills from marketing actually transferred beautifully to public policy work. It was pretty much the same skills. I was just marketing ideas as opposed to products.

If I'm really stuck on a particular section of a piece, I can't have loud blaring music. I just can't, it's a distraction. But other times there's music that I think helps me get to that place where you just kind of forget everything else and focus on what's in front of you.
