Thoughtful conversations with the people of Maine

Can we create a space where we still get to learn together in our minds, but in our bodies, we get to practice together in our minds and in our bodies. We get to do all these beautiful embodiment practices that bring us back to the present moment instead of some future moment or something in the past where we can make it accessible.

Art is a language and it's a language that we don't weave into our daily curriculum and we're leaving kids out and we're, you know, not purposely, but we are having students feel like they're not part of the classroom because their language is the language of art and creativity.

I like connecting with young people. It gives me energy. High school students and teens in particular ended up being my people and undergraduates aren't that far. I think what's most important to me is I like getting them excited about something that I see as important in the natural world.
