Thoughtful conversations with the people of Maine

There's really nothing that I've studied in my life that I haven't found to have relevance to other things.

A lot of the florals I tend to do are with a very moody, dark background. And a lot of times the flowers being emerged from the darkness, acknowledging that there are balances in our day or any given day we do have those darker moments and there can be brightness in beauty even emerging from that.

I think that's what journalists do. They have a natural curiosity that becomes well honed over time because you engage in the practice of journalism and you learn all the traditional ways of exercising that judgment, that insight that you have to become kind of a semi expert in lots of things when you embark on a particular story.
