Just because it's functional doesn't mean it shouldn't be beautiful.

In retrospect, somehow I will look back and say, my God, how did we ever have the courage to do that? Except it wasn't courage. It was just almost a lark and it's been kind of a gift.

The biggest reward of the work that we do is being able to learn from the people, whether this is scripted narrative work or commercial work or nonfiction work. Anytime that you are observing the patterns and characteristics of a subject, you are learning from something that's outside of your own experience.
