What keeps me painting is the stories that I make up in my head. I studied journalism at school and always interested in people's stories. And when I make paintings, a lot of the ones that interest me the most and the ones that seem to move quickest are the ones where you just have a feeling like somebody is about to turn off a light in the window or that someone's just walked along the path, or maybe they just left the swing.
The change in learning is the carrot on a stick for me in life. And it's not dependent on your field.
We need to explain to the consumer of coffee, the second most traded commodity globally, you have to be willing to pay more because if you don't, you won't have coffee. And also we're destroying the land whether we know it or not, we're destroying the land.
