I think people are like plants, we need light, we need sun. We need that in order for us to feel healthy, in order for us to enjoy the space that we're in. So I would say light is extraordinarily important when I'm thinking about a design project.

I very clearly remember the last day of the job, I packed up all my stuff and in the morning I drove it over to send it all back to them. Here you go. Here's all your gear that I used. And then I went right into my studio and there was this pile of ideas that have been patiently waiting for some time. And so they just started coming out and I'm like, oh, wow, I actually have a trajectory and I have themes that are going.

In direct primary care we are transparent. You know exactly what you're spending a month and if you come in and you need something done, we can say to you, oh, that EKG, there's no extra charge. That strep screen, there's no extra charge.
